Mark Williams Architects were approached by a young family who had outgrown their existing house and needed a larger home. 

The house was located on the hillside and positioned to ensure the kitchen, living, and entertainment areas had full advantage of the city views. The spacious rooftop entertainment area helped to increase the available area of private open space. 

Environmental features included an indoor pool with gas heating, solar panels, large overhangs, and awnings to control the summer afternoon sun, cross-ventilation and use of insulation to walls and roofs.
